Run out of space!

Unfortunately, after 4 years of documenting the cycle style of Aucklanders on this blog, I have run out of space.

I am exploring my options .... hopefully normal programming will be resumed shortly!

Good signs

A reader sent me in this picture ...

Apparently, this is the new electric bike of one of the Waterfront Auckland staff.

I am very pleased about this as ... in a recent discussion with a different WA person I was told they were looking at providing infrastructure for all cyclists - both families at the weekends and sports cyclists. So I replied "what about all the other cyclists? You know the ones that just use a bicycle to get from A to B" he had no idea that there may actually be a large number of cyclists that didn't fit into his two neat piles of 'families' or 'lycra' with different requirements. 

Perhaps this lady with the new electric bicycle can educate him about the realities of cycling in Auckland ...

Official Cycling

They do say that when you have a particular interest, that you get tunnel vision ...

But I did laugh when I spotted this in my kitchen the other day ... just imagine if the words 'Official Auckland Inner CBD Cycling ...' were more than a serendipitous fold illusion.

Bicycles are nice to look at ...

Some are interesting

Some are attractive

Some are comfortable

Some are fascinating

... and all are lovely
