Odd one out

I was waiting for the Wynyard bridge to go down yesterday and when I did, I got these lovely shots ...

The leader?

Red handlebars

Girls

Blue helmet

The odd one out?
Very nicely dressed but not quite following through on the theme

Painted

When I see bikes around town that I like, I photograph them ...

This one has the most amazing paint job because it is all encompassing right down to painting the tyres - it is the sort of paint job the husband would do ... no faffing about with masking ... just spray the b*gger!

It is especially nice when I then meet the owners.

New friends

I've seen some nice bikes around lately ...

These were parked in High street - very nice!

And this is a new bike that has joined me at work

It's so nice to have another 'girl' bike ... they're parking on the same rack for now and getting to know each other (not met the owner yet). It has a nice skirt guard and wheel lock

and bike stand

and styley handlebars, bell and basket.

Skirt guard

This fabulous lady contacted me a while back about ideas for making a skirt guard ...

We bumped into each other at the Cycle Style event and I was able to see the skirt guard she had made ....

It was a beautiful piece of work and between us we now have quite a bit of skirt guard making experience - it might be an idea to share a pattern or two on this blog?

It looks as if her has to be fairly robust as it keeps more than skirts out of the spokes.

Shopping in style

Because the weather has turned so cold recently, I was shopping for jumpers in Newmarket today ...

I bumped into this stylish gent ... with a very nice Retrovelo. Of course had a bit of a 'bicycle' chat, and agreed that two bicycles is the absolute minimum necessary - a 'best' one and a 'rusty' one.
This is Dave's 'best' one.
