A very stylish but displaced cyclist trying to get from the ferry terminal to Newmarket through the World Champion Triathlon barricades on Saturday
Hopefully the mission was accomplished.
The husband and I were also trying to get to and from the market and trying to figure out if it was acceptable to cycle the wrong way down a one way street in full view of two motorbike cops given the circumstances. We erred on the side of caution in the end and took an alternate route.
We toyed with trying to ride up the actual cycle race track, but we decided that convincing the orange jacketed folk that we were in the 'fruit and veg' category of the triathlon was probably going to be a hard sell!
