Sometimes, little things happen that put a big smile on your face ...
This is my neighbour bringing home his new bicycle
Very styley!
When I first moved into the building a few years ago, my neighbour would look at me in a puzzled/fascinated sort of way, and I understand I was known as 'the bicycle lady'. After a while we got talking during encounters in the lift and conversation often moved to bicycles. Then one day a couple of second hand bikes appeared outside their apartment - they had decided to give it a go. They liked it. Now they have bought brand new bicycles as they are using bicycles so much and traveling quite a distance on them ... nice!
And that's how we get a cycling revolution underway; one person at a time.
ReplyDeleteI am reminded of a person talking about Permaculture on another blog, and he had asked Hugo Chavez about how he had managed to get some social justice program off the ground; "First I talk to one person, then I talk to another...". The person had said no, no, how did you get this program going? Chavez replied: "First I talk to one person, then I talk to another...".
He wears the same hi-viz as me ;-)
