I am so very behind with my posts so apologies for my tardiness ...
As I'm sure you are aware, it was wet ... very wet! But if you were not quite wet enough, Auckland Council had kindly supplied lots of bottled water ...

This guy was there as usual, jollying us all along (I say 'all' in the 'everyone that was there' sort of way, not in the 'vast crowds' sort of way ... cause there wasn't. There was just a handful of idiots like myself that had got up early for the occasion and spent the rest of the day in wet shoes!)
This guy was there as well - he didn't cycle but I don't blame him (see the part about idiots above). Len's shoes were dry, and fair enough too - I don't want someone making important decisions about my city being distracted by wet feet - but obviously Len missed the memo about that.
Of course the TV was there - interviewing a proper cyclist in addition to the fraud that Auckland Transport engineered.
That's Tim's dog in the box - he's a bit big for it now but seemed happy enough once settled.
