Hi, I've been looking through your blog and I figured you could help me with something. I'm visiting New Zealand for a month and half and I'd like to buy a cheap used bike that I could use to get around while I'm here. I certainly don't need a very nice one, as I will probably try to sell it or even give it away when I leave. Do you know of anyone I could contact in Auckland? I arrive June 9. Any help would be great!
ReplyDelete@ Anna - We generally buy second hand bikes on Trademe (http://www.trademe.co.nz/)over here - you could bid online and then just arrange the pickup/delivery by email. I think that might be your best bet. There are also a bunch of links and info that you might find helpful on Cycling in Auckland (http://cyclingauckland.co.nz/) - a website that I have set up with a couple of friends.
