People carried stuff
To carry stuff, you need baskets. Baskets are things of goodness and turn a bicycle into a very useful machine. I go to the Britomart farmers market on mine and the transport of an entire weeks fruit and veg is simplicity itself!

The nextbike bikes have baskets of course, as any true city bike should. They move independently of the handlebars in a very strange but entertaining way.

Here is your traditional wicker basket
I just found out that the $3 Japan shop sells supermarket-like baskets which fits perfectly on the rear rack as illustrated by photo #2. It's not near as stylish as a wicker one but it does the job!
ReplyDeleteI can't recommend this kind of basket enough. It's super light, easy to clean, portable and it's a good judge of how much shopping you should be carrying.
For $5 a pop, it's a bargain
