Stunt riding required on Queen Street

This pothole is really beyond a joke in a 'cycle lane' (I put this in quotation marks because I can't quite, in all seriousness, refer to the 'little blue lines' as a cycle lane). Hey, if they put a ramp in, it might just work for the BMX crowd!

(if your watching ACC, it's at the bottom of Queen Street)

Not chic ... dangerous, but not chic!

  2. Phoebe of the Herald's Ask Phoebe fame says the blue lines on Queen Street are "the lines that the public should stand behind during events such as the Farmers Santa Parade", not cycle lanes!

  3. Hi, great idea though!.. I've put forward an idea that all roads should have painted down the middle a blue line, or a dot, giving cycles (and horses) the same VISIBLE legal right to the road, not this vague "keep as far left as possible". Vehicles would have to be law slow and pass vehicles in the blue/dotted lane the same way they pass any other vehicle, when on coming traffic is clear....
